Hailing from London England, Stephen has now lived in the US for the past 8 years. After studying Business at Brighton University he began a career in technology services before going on to complete an MBA from London Business School. Following business school he launched a cloud computing services company named Onica which grew to 350 employees across 12 offices. Onica helped thousands of companies build amazing solutions using the cloud, including some of America’s best known brands. Stephen partnered with growth equity firm Sunstone Partners severing as Onica CEO and the team completed two successful acquisitions prior to being acquired themselves by Rackspace Technology Inc in November 2019.
In September 2021, Stephen led a $16m growth capital investment into Caylent Inc a cloud services provider with operations across LATAM and became Executive Chairman. With this investment capital Caylent was able to rapidly become one of Amazon Web Services most strategic partners growing over 300% in the first year. Due to Caylent’s rapid expansion Gryphon Investors, a leading California private equity firm, made a majority control investment into Caylent in November 2022. Stephen continues to serve as Caylent’s Executive Chairman.
